Packaging innovations and business development. The eighth edition of Warsaw Pack

Packaging innovations and business development

The eighth edition of Warsaw Pack

The eighth international packaging technology and packaging fair Warsaw Pack was held on April 18-20, 2023 at Ptak Warsaw Expo. It was a modern platform for discussion about innovations in the industry and the next steps in its development.

The packaging and packaging technology industry is constantly changing in parallel with the consumer and legal realities that affect it. More and more countries are opting for greener solutions, and customers are more aware of the need to make environmentally sustainable choices. This is a major challenge for this sector. We talked about it, as well as about innovations, trends and new technologies during the eighth edition of the Warsaw Pack, which took place at Ptak Warsaw Expo.

Business integration of the largest industry brands during the Warsaw Pack

During the Warsaw Pack, business and its integration were the most important. This event hosted sector leaders and companies that focus on innovation in it. Among them were GEA, HG Robotics, Filmat, Intrex, Madej Pak, Ocean Systems, AWM PAK, BekuPlast, Pablo, FOLPOL, Green Tree, Metro Catering System, NOVIGO FILMS, PGS, POLPACK, Premacy, SPOLEX, TURCK, ULMA or PID Poland. They presented their offers to a sophisticated group of recipients-visitors (representatives of the packaging industry, food producers, wholesale and retail traders, designers and advertising agencies, representatives of the cosmetics sector, logistics and transport specialists, engineers and quality specialists, representatives of scientific institutions), developing a network of mutual dependencies.

All this to find innovative and most suitable solutions for the recipients, thus dynamizing the development of the sector. At the same time, Warsaw Pack was an opportunity for the participants to open up to international markets and gain customers where it had not been possible before.

“Innovations in packaging” and “Packaging in a closed loop”

During the Warsaw Pack, substantive conferences on the development of the industry could not be missing. On April 18, visitors could listen to the lectures as part of the “Innovations in packaging” panel. During it, among others, Maciej Nałęcz from Santander Bank spoke about the prospects of the packaging market in 2023. Dr. Aneta Pluta-Zaremba and Dr. Jolanta Turek of the Warsaw School of Economics focused on cooperation in the supply chain for circularity – a case study of compostable packaging for food. Adam Uptas from Green Tree spoke about alternative solutions to traditional plastics, and the topic “e-Pack – intelligent returnable packaging dedicated to the e-commerce industry” was discussed by Michał Grabia from the Łukasiewicz Poznański Institute of Technology.

The next day, the conference “Packaging in a closed circuit” was held. Jakub Tyczkowski from Rekopol Organizacja Odzysku Opakowań SA spoke about the practical consequences for entrepreneurs of the planned and introduced changes, recycling goals. Ewa Badowska–Domagała from the GDBD law firm talked about the changes that have taken place and are planned in the EU packaging regulations, and Karolina Wiszumirska from Natureef focused on the subject of the directions of development of packaging innovations – new research projects. A very interesting presentation was “Recyclability of glass and plastic packaging – theory and practice” by Marta Krawczyk from Rekopol Organizacja Odzysku Opakowań SA. The lecture “Logistics and Warehouse Space Market: Prospects and Examples of Investment Opportunities” by Marcia Michalski and Bartłomiej Kuwała from BusinessWise was also very popular.

However, there were many more topics covered. These conferences allowed to increase individual competences and knowledge, which translated into further development of individual enterprises and opened them to new solutions.

Thank you for participating in the eighth edition of Warsaw Pack. We invite you to the next editions of the event. More info coming soon!

The most important event of the packaging industry in Poland, Warsaw Pack, is coming soon!

The most important event of the packaging industry in Poland, Warsaw Pack, is coming soon!

Dynamic development, the most up-to-date issues, competent experts and world-class networking – all this can be found during the eighth edition of Warsaw Pack, the international trade fair for packaging technology and packaging. The event will take place on April 18-20, 2023 at Ptak Warsaw Expo.

Recent months have not been easy for the Polish economy, but the packaging industry seems to be immune to it. Despite the crisis and inflation caused by the war, our companies remain among the European leaders in this industry sector. The production growth rate is currently around eight to nine percent. In 2022, the value of the Polish packaging market was approximately PLN 60 billion.

Such a dynamically developing industry needs a place for discussion, development and strengthening business relations. It is the Warsaw Pack, the eighth edition of which will take place on April 18-20 at Ptak Warsaw Expo.

Warsaw Pack focuses on the development of the industry

Warsaw Pack is not a standard fair event. It is an event that closely meets the needs of the sector by focusing on a selected group of experts who know everything about the industry. They form the so-called Program Council, which consists of industry leaders. They know where to focus on both networking and education, so that every visitor to Warsaw Pack leaves the event with up-to-date knowledge and new business contacts.

To facilitate navigation for visitors during the Warsaw Pack, the event was divided into sectors. In the Automation and Robotics Zone, they will find mobile robots, laser navigation systems, vision systems, control systems, industrial identification systems and drives. In the E-commerce Zone, participants will have a chance to get acquainted with machines, materials, packaging, labels, tapes and fillers. The Logistics and Warehousing Zone will offer them a wide range of forklifts, platform trucks, lift trucks, as well as palletizers, manipulators, winches, cranes and stackers. In the Packaging Zone, there will be cosmetic and pharmaceutical packaging, food packaging and industrial packaging.

In addition, participants will be able to visit    the Packaging Technology Zone, which will gather a wide range of machines dedicated to the industry, or the Labeling, Labeling and Printing Zone, which will include devices and systems for labeling and marking.

It is worth noting that one of the most important aspects of the Warsaw Pack is the opportunity to expand competences thanks to the educational layer of the event. The Warsaw Pack 2023 conference included “Circular Packaging”, which will take place on April 18, and “Innovations in Packaging” on April 19.

Why is it worth betting on Warsaw Pack?

The Warsaw Pack 2022 fair was visited by 15,000 guests from Poland and abroad. Every year, the event is attended by, among others, business owners, managing directors, managers, designers, representatives of marketing departments as well as purchasing directors and specialists representing various industries (including food, cosmetics, chemical, pharmaceutical, industrial and advertising). It’s thousands of potential customers and business partners in one place and time. Warsaw Pack is therefore a must-have event for people who want to develop in the industry!
